Value Chain Development Assistance

The Investment Agriculture Foundation of British Columbia has launched a new service to the agri-food industry in the Province of British Columbia. Click here to access information about this new service. What is a value chain? It’s a business model based on collaboration. An agri-food value chain is a partnership between producers, processors and marketers created to improve quality, increase efficiencies or develop and market differentiated products to make all partners more profitable. Value chains allow members to be more competitive by seeking market opportunities and linking production and processing requirements to meet consumer demand.

Help Consumers Stay Connected
with a Food Safety Recall Widget

In an effort to help inform Canadians about potential food safety risks, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is asking our partners in food safety to embed the Agencys recall widget on their website, blog or social media page.

A Widget is an application that displays featured content directly on your web page. Once you've added our Widget, live content from the CFIA regarding the latest recalls will be sent to the Widget automatically. Only information regarding the latest recalls, including the current recalls on hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP), will be posted on our Widget.

For more information on how the CFIA is keeping consumers informed about potential food safety risks, visit our new food safety portal at
